What's new in samla.ai 1.3.17: collections that sort themselves

samla.ai 1.3.17 is out on Google Play. Automatic collections can now follow your rules, so the right items find their way into the right collection. This update also brings clearer filters and more careful matching for value estimates. Here is the short version.

Give your collection a few rules

The records from the seventies, the whisky from Scotland, the vinyl on the living-room shelf: each can have a collection of its own. Choose a category and add rules for the details you want to keep together.

  • Combine conditions, such as a spirit's type and country.
  • Use location to include items in a room, shelf or box.
  • New items that match the rules join automatically.

See the change before you save

Open an automatic collection and choose Edit rules from its menu. As you adjust the rules, you can see how the collection would change before you save.

  • Check which items will join and which will leave.
  • See how many items the collection will contain afterwards.
  • Items you removed by hand stay out.

More careful comparisons for value estimates

Value estimates now match your item more carefully with comparable items. Check the comparisons against the item in front of you, including its edition and condition, when you explore what it might be worth.

Smaller things you will notice

  • Cleaner choices in filters.
  • Clearer detail names across more categories.
