Why an ad generator when marketplaces are connected
Because a lot of selling happens somewhere else. Facebook groups, the noticeboard at the record shop, a forum thread, a message to somebody who collects this exact thing. None of those have an API and all of them want the same three paragraphs.

How to generate an ad
1. Open an item and choose Generate Classified Ad
It sits under Files on the item screen for the owner, and in the overflow menu with the same label. Any item works, though the ad is better on items where the scan filled in a lot.
2. Let it work in the background
A short confirmation appears and the writing happens in the background. It takes up to a minute or so. Keep using the app; a notification arrives when the ad is ready, with a button to open it.
3. Read it, then copy or share it
The ad opens in a modal. Copy it to the clipboard or send it through the normal share sheet to wherever you are posting. Read it first: it is written from your catalog, so anything the catalog got wrong the ad will repeat confidently.
4. Regenerate with a note if it is not right
The retry action opens an optional notes box. "Shorter", "no exclamation marks", "mention that the sleeve has a split seam", "aim it at a collector rather than a casual buyer" all work. The note steers that run only and is not saved on the item, so the item stays clean.
What goes into the ad?
The title, category and description, the brand, model and condition, colour and size, the price estimate where there is one, the market data and the collectible detail fields, plus your city and country so the pricing and the pickup language make sense locally.
Prices in the ad follow the same rule as everywhere else in samla.ai: value figures are estimates for informational purposes rather than professional appraisals, and the asking price is yours to set.

Classified ad generation is a Pro and Ultra feature, alongside publishing to Discogs, Tradera and eBay, market value estimates, collectible detail fields and export.
FAQ
Does the ad get saved on the item?
Yes. Once generated, the menu changes to Show Classified Ad, so you can come back to it without generating a second one.
What language does it write in?
Yours. The ad is generated in your app language, which is what makes it postable in a local group without a translation round.
Can I use it for a marketplace listing too?
You can, though publishing straight to Discogs, Tradera or eBay from the Sell sheet is the better route where those are available, because it fills in the marketplace fields as well as the text.
Will it invent details?
It writes from your item, and it asks for nothing you have not given it. It can still be wrong where the item is wrong, so read it before you post it - that is the same rule as the review queue.
